AboutBanner

Leadership Team: Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We have a team (Vestry) voted on by the Parish that serves us and leads/oversees many of our ministries and steers our Church with transparency and strength. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

The Rev. Canon Aaron W. Smith as well as his lovely wife, Meredith Smith and his 2 sons Ambrose and Clement joined Grace in August 2019.

Father Aaron has been on staff with the Diocese of Florida since February 2017. Working directly with the Bishop, Diocesan Staff, and churches across North Florida, his work has been to develop a culture of mission and outreach within the Diocese, including church planting, training, and mission development. Along with his Diocesan work, Aaron has taken on the role of Priest-in-Charge at Grace Episcopal Church in Orange Park.

Aaron, originally from Ontario, Canada, and the son of an Episcopal priest, is married to Meredith, originally from California. They met in Nashville TN, while Aaron was attending Sewanee: The University of the South for seminary, and Meredith was working in publishing. They have served churches in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Magnolia Springs, Alabama, prior to their time in Florida. His children attend Grace Episcopal Day School. Meredith Smith is the Interim Director for Community Health Outreach.
